Last night, simoniff and I saw Jill Sobule Upstairs at the World Cafe. It was always a fun time at a Jill show. All of her songs tell little stories. You can spot the people less familiar with her songs by the hardy laughter, while the rest of us just chuckle.

Back in 1985 I started working a shift at WSUC, SUNY Cortland's radio station. This allowed me to play music by this brand new artist. An Englishman shipped a large quantity of strange electronic equipment on a trans-Atlantic flight on September 11. TSA checked it out to protect us. They pried open the custom made case, pulled out all the shiny chips and jammed them back in, damaging some of them in the process.
